Vincent Van Gogh’s pictorial art is classified among the most brilliant on the world art scene and it remains a goal for many to be able to visit his permanent exhibition at the museum dedicated to him in Amsterdam.
But with great enthusiasm I invite Neapolitans and tourists, living in Naples, in the historic Church of S. Potito al Museo in its space of approximately 1000 m2, used for 360 degree digital projection, a fantastic visual and sound immersion of the 350 masterpieces of the genius Dutch.
There are 60 projectors that make the space traveled by visitors a truly singular multisensory experience.
The use of VR viewers and a space dedicated to coloring reproductions of some of his works completes the public’s full participation in the visual/sensory performance which allows them to enter deeply into the artist’s works.
Approximately 90 thousand people have attended since its opening, the great international exhibition “Van Gogh “The Immersive Experience” which extends its stay in Naples until 29 October in the seventeenth-century Church of San Potito, still the subject of important restoration, in via Salvatore Tommasi 1 .
To celebrate the extension, the exhibition “The Immersive Experience” welcomes a special visit on Saturday 23 September at 11:00, organized by the “L’Arte nel Tempo” Association. Reservation is necessary to allow programming for the benefit of the participating public.
With Antonio Sorrentino, president of the L’Arte nel Tempo association, you will enter the magical world of the genius of Vincent Van Gogh, immersing yourself in the unique atmospheres of the artistic project.
Thanks to the most modern technologies, the visitor will be able to walk through the wheat fields, in the Starry Night, between Irises and Sunflowers. The places available are limited, therefore booking the guided tour is mandatory.
The appointment is for Saturday 23 September at 10.45am, the visit will begin at 11.00am.
